Traffic Management Officer

A rare opportunity has arisen to join the Traffic Management Department within Durham Roads and Armed Policing.

The role requires you to work as part of a small, dedicated team liaising with internal departments and external partners to provide support, advice and guidance on all aspects of traffic management and road safety across the Durham Constabulary area. It is challenging and varied, with time spent both in the office and undertaking outdoor site assessments.

What You’ll Do

As a Traffic Management Officer you will represent the Force on matters appertaining to traffic management, road safety and accident analysis.

It will include….

To co-ordinate and collect traffic management information.

Identify problems by analysis and liaison, and to recommend remedial measures for such. Implement and monitor initiatives aimed at heightening the awareness of members of the public towards safety matters.

What You’ll Bring

HND or equivalent qualification

At least 2 year’s previous professional experience working with road traffic legislation or in a traffic management environment.
