We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as a Property Assurance Assistant in our Justice Services Property Assurance Team based in Ty Thomas, Brackla, Bridgend. Could you be who we are looking for?

About the team/Department you will be joining:

 

  • Justice Services is a broad department within South Wales Police, the Property Assurance Team focuses on the auditing and correct management of evidential property seized during investigations.
  • We are a small but dynamic team based at Ty Thomas, Brackla Nr Bridgend. Travel across South Wales will be required dependant on business need.
  • We work Monday to Friday, flexible working around core hours of 8am – 4pm.

 

 

About the role and your key responsibilities :

 

  • To audit evidential property held by SWP, updating police systems and looking to identify opportunities to improve and develop SWP policies and procedures. Liasing with officers and staff in relation to matters involving evidential property.
  • Assisting with the introduction of new systems and processes as agreed as part of process updates/enhancements.
  • Liaising with staff involved with the day to day management of property stores located around the SWP estate, as well as officers and staff using these stores.

 

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

 

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • We are looking for somebody preferably with previous experience in auditing and administrative work, with a track record of using their own initiative and an aptitude for problem solving.
  • We are looking for someone who will pay attention to detail and is computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications.

This role is suitable for part time/job share workers

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to RV Vetting.
