Promotion to Sergeant (transferee)

Applications are invited from both substantive police constables and detective constables who wish to apply for promotion to the rank of sergeant.

Applicants will need to hold either the OSPRE Part I & II Sergeant qualification or a valid NPPF Sergeant Step 2 legal exam pass to sit the NPPF Sergeant Step 3 Assessment.

NPPF Sergeant Step 3 Assessment Centre – June 2024

We are open for applications for NPPF Sergeant Step 3 Assessment Centre.

We will be holding the process the week commencing 3 June and no assessments will run past 12 June. Please make sure you are available during this period.

These will be half-day sessions, assessed on the Competency and Values Framework (CVF), consisting of; Interview with CVF based questions, Employee Meeting and Problem-Solving Briefing task.

The process will be run at Wiltshire Police Head Quarters in Devizes and will involve the use of independent observers to ensure fairness and consistency between the assessors.

You will be need to submit your completed EOI by 6 May at 23:00 to Workforceplanning@wiltshire.police.uk
